It was too unusual for this road to be lonesome, even at the darkest hour of this long night. Walking down, my breaths making sound louder than my steps, I was still thinking what brought me here. Where all the people and street strays are, were the questions continuously boggling my mind? But even these thoughts could not make my steps slow. With every step, it was making louder sound with a multiplying echo. By now I was sure that this place has something wrong and I need to get out of here. Fasting up my steps but every step gave me sense of a sound other than my own. At first I decided to ignore and continued to walk but then that sound started coming near and more near.

I tried to walk faster, almost running, and that sound was still following my pace. I was wearing a jacket so I am sure it was not summer but my sweating body compelled me to think again about the season.... is it really December or I am lost somewhere, even in time! I dared to turn back and face what's behind me and the very next moment it was only my steps and breathe disturbing this hollow night. Although it gave me a sigh but still I was walking fast trying to get out of here.

The road turning ahead, ignoring the turn I almost knocked into an old scraped bus which made a crumbling sound with my collision with it and my heart almost sunk with that sudden creepy sound. It was loud and was with a periodic sound in the backdrop and this seemed to be somewhat known. Peep peep peep peep….. and it was getting louder and louder and was coming closer and closer to my ears with every beep. It gave me a leap from that place to my bed and it was my cell trying to bother me again on a Monday morning. I was sweating in real and stared outside from my window, never felt so relaxed on seeing crowd on roads. It was really a bad start for a long week with a scary dream on Monday morning!

Not bad. You mixed your tenses though. Keep writing. It can only get better. Thank you. :)

nice way of putting it. Scary dreams are rare to me ... but have always cherished them after i get up... but are horrifying during the sleep.
