secret Assignment

Kayaking was a way of transport for the Native Americans as they crossed the treacherous rivers to reach the surface beside it; despite the dangers the Native Americans where brave hearted and continued onwards to stay alive.

It soon became a sport and naval icon and even became an Olympic sport.

Since I first tried it I was in love with it as it was so adventurous and I always loved the river no matter what the many dangers it held, this is why I just loved kayaking because every time you kayak out and adventure through the river you have a new story to tell.

I once kayaked out and capsized in the middle of a treacherous rapid and barely survived, I awoke in an arid, deserted area which is strange as I was in south east England where I was born and raised and where arid,
deserted areas are almost impossible to find.

The sun was scorching hot, but my senses of heat where drowned by my senses of pain as I looked down and saw that my legs where shredded and leach infested, I thank god that I could still walk out of this situation as I got up and looked for anything to cover my wounds.

I looked around the desert and found my kayak, it was destroyed which meant my only known means of escape was now gone so I had to either find another or just die and I guess I got my answer to which choice.

I didn't find any vegetation around so I could not make a raft, nor find any clean water because salt water would drastically increase salt levels and could lead to stroke and then death.

I looked around and walked mile on end with a throbbing head ache when I heard a very loud roar, as I looked back I was pounced on by a, a very large lion but lions stay clear of arid deserts, where was I? No I asked is this the end.

I don't know how I survived it but I only saw an arrow smash this huge man eater and it fell to the side of me, I was in shock and passed out for I recall three hours because all I saw when I awoke was utter darkness.

I soon realized it wasn't the sky that was dark but my eyes were covered, blindfolded if you like but why and who by I was yet to find out. I was ordered to keep walking by a very deep yet shrewd voice and was stopped I estimated a mile later.

I was shattered but I know I had to keep my energy if I was to survive this situation, as a huge fan of Bear Grylls I had literally memorized his survival skills and also kept a trusty knife on me as well which stupidly my abductors forgot to check.

They threw me in some damp and insect filled room where I was chained to the wall, they locked the door and left me in without a word or even sound, but I felt them laughing I felt exactly what was about to happen.

I dazed of soon after and awoke very quickly to the feeling of something touching me, I didn't know what it was but it unchained me and obviously wanted me to escape as much as I wanted to.

I reached out for my knife and waited for a break to escape, I forgot to mention I am a trained royal marine commando and I am part of the very best in these situations and Bear Grylls was my inspiration.

The sole reason I didn't fight back was because patience was a commandos virtue and it was my mission to infiltrate and search the recent disturbances in the area, I was the only one willing to go so I had but who helped me escape was beyond me.

I untied the blindfold but kept it on to look promising as if I was still imprisoned, a short while after a guard came in to check up, he came touching close to me where I slit his throat with complete and utter pleasure.

I examined his body and figured he was just an insurgent but I was sorely mistaken when I took of his headpiece, he had bright red eyes and razor sharp teeth, he looked slightly mutated which meant I believe radiation covered the area.

The adrenaline made me forget that my legs were still shredded so I had to cover the wounds and move on, so I took his trousers and covered my wounds I then slowly but steadily moved on, the mission was far from over.

I had to be very cautious now not only am I behind enemy lines but also in a radiation filled area and I could end up like this poor sod on the floor, I used the damp mud to conceal myself and then used the vegetation outside for cover.

I walked by and saw a camp counting twenty of these things, where on earth I was I didn't know but I had to stay frosty to make it out of this after all being a Royal Marine Commando is a state of mind.

I walked and saw a large watchtower which I had to reach to see where I was, the habitat was dark and full of vegetation so I could make it without been seen with hope off course.

I crawled down and made it to the ladder, there was a guard on the top who I suffocated as I reached him again a mutant, I overlooked the whole area to see it was a bunker with two outposts and there were no firearms I had come across yet.

I then realized that the beach was a mile away from my location, I could easily escape but my mission is not complete and radiation is going through me like air so I must be quick.

I guess I know what we are dealing with but I know that the risk is worth the gain, it seems far fetched but I must eliminate these creatures by killing the head for eliminating the head will kill the beast.

And that is the bunker which would be impossible to infiltrate all alone, I wondered if the being that helped my escape could help, as I wondered where to find him I was suddenly smacked in the back of my head.

TO BE CONTINUED.
